Pre FamilyLife
We hope these resources are of great benefit to you and your relationships. They are still under construction, but while we're off on annual leave and raising the remainder of our financial support (Dec-April), we've popped them up here as ‘trial copies'. Feel free to download, print and use these resources, and email nathan.mills@familylife.org.nz with your feedback. We'd love to find out what worked for you and what didn't, so we can make improvements and provide the best resources possible.
Thanks very much!

Great Date Ideas

Creative Conversation
One of the best ways to get to know another person, and deepen a friendship, is to ask good questions. This guide has a quick intro into the concept of conversing creatively in your relationship, followed by more than a hundred questions to get you started.
Communication 1: Understanding
This study is a practical insight into the two major components of understanding another person - listening well and expressing well. Broken into 3 sessions, this study can be worked through by individual couples or a group of couples.
Communication 2: Resolving Conflict
Following on from Communication 1, this study looks at how to effectively resolve conflict in a relationship. Take a look at why conflict and anger happen, how to approach confrontation lovingly, and why forgiveness and reconciliation are so important.
Why Marriage?
What is this thing called marriage, and why do we do it? Why Marriage walks you through the purposes God has for marriage, and encourages you to think through your beliefs about marriage. This study can be worked through individually, in couples or in groups.
Evaluating Your Relationship, Decision-Making Guide & Red Flags
At some point in a serious relationship the idea of marriage starts to pop up. Should we or shouldn't we? These studies are aimed to help couples wisely consider their next step. Both practical and biblical, these are sourced from FamilyLife's Preparing for Marriage book.
